REACH is the evangelism training arm of Search Ministries. Since 1977 Search has been taking the good news of Jesus Christ to communities across the United States by pursuing genuine friendships, fostering honest conversations about life’s big questions, and creating friendly environments for spiritual growth and understanding. With a big heart for God and people, Search’s mission is to meet people wherever they are on their spiritual journey and invite them to take a next step toward God.

Search believes that every Christian is called to be an ambassador for Christ. To help Christians fulfill that calling, Search developed REACH. REACH is about passing on the teaching of Scripture, the heart of our Savior for all who do not yet know him, and the rich experience of Search so that Christians everywhere can more effectively learn to share Jesus with others.

Our Statement of Faith

We believe . . .

  • There is one God who eternally exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, all of whom are worthy of equal honor and praise.
  • The Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God and therefore provides an authoritative understanding of who God is, the means of salvation, and how we should relate to God and others.
  • All humanity has been created in the image and likeness of God, but through sin, and as a consequence of sin, all humanity is spiritually dead, alienated from God, and in need of salvation.
  • Jesus Christ, who was both fully God and fully man, lived a sinless life, was crucified in order to forgive our sins, and rose from the dead so that we might have new life with him.
  • It is only through faith in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus that a person is forgiven of his or her sins and reconciled to God for all eternity.
  • When an individual trusts in the person and work of Christ, he or she receives the permanent gift of God’s indwelling Spirit so that life with God can be lived out by Christ’s strength and on His terms.
  • God has called those who have trusted in Christ to be his ambassadors and make Christ known to the whole world.
